Private Capital Advisory

Jefferies Private Capital Advisory provides a full range of liquidity and fundraising solutions to financial sponsors and limited partners. We combine premier Secondary Advisory and Private Fund Advisory practices in an integrated, differentiated model - serving as an end-to-end provider of all financial sponsors’ and LPs’ needs. We advise leading financial sponsors and institutional investors on secondary market transactions.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing financial analysis and valuation, including leveraged buyout analysis, comparable company, and transaction‑based analyses
  • Building, maintaining, and utilizing financial models to assess business performance, capital structures, and investment outcomes
  • Preparing client and investor materials, including pitchbooks and information memoranda, for live transactions and marketing efforts
  • Conducting industry, sector, and company research, and analyzing detailed corporate and financial information
  • Supporting the execution of private capital and structured financing transactions, including coordination of diligence and interaction with internal and external stakeholders

Off-Cycle Interns within our Private Capital Advisory team will have the unique opportunity to gain insight into a global, client-focused investment bank and experience an entrepreneurial environment where employees have the opportunity to make an immediate impact and gain industry exposure. Our Interns are exposed to Jefferies’ full range of top-tier investment banking products and leading industry expertise by working closely with senior bankers on pitches and live deals. .

In addition to performing fundamental analysis and research into companies and markets, Interns are challenged to think creatively, offer their input, and add value to the team from day one. As with everyone at Jefferies, our Interns are expected to pursue their projects with excellence, a collaborative spirit, and with the highest levels of integrity.

We look for candidates who are eager to make an impact by doing real, hands-on work and participating on active deal teams. Successful Jefferies Interns are able to multitask and manage a variety of projects simultaneously. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and client management skills together with strong technical, written and verbal communication skills. The work is fast paced, challenging and intellectually stimulating. The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, be adaptable and work both independently and as part of a team are essential traits of a successful candidate.

Although a background in accounting or finance can be helpful, we hire candidates who have studied a variety of disciplines. A few more application particulars are enclosed below:

  • We encourage applications from candidates who have recently graduated or have met the graduation requirements for their current degree program.
  • Strong academic performance in an undergraduate or postgraduate program; coursework in finance, economics, accounting, or related fields is beneficial, though candidates from diverse academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated analytical capability, with comfort working with financial data, identifying key drivers, and synthesizing insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce clear, accurate analysis and professional presentation materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a high level of attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment, with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
