Program Overview: Performance Trust Investment Banking Internship Program offers a dynamic and immersive experience designed for ambitious students seeking to launch their finance careers. Throughout the summer, interns will be immersed in the dynamic environment of our Financial Institutions Group. This exposure will encompass a comprehensive range of advisory and investment opportunities tailored to Banks, Credit Unions and other Financial Services clients, including areas such as mergers & acquisitions, capital issuance, fixed income, and derivatives. Beyond technical training, interns benefit from mentorship, networking events, and career development workshops. The program is designed to challenge, inspire, and prepare participants for full-time opportunities in investment banking.

Interns will work alongside seasoned professionals and will be responsible for:

• Getting introduced to complex financial models
• Dive deep into sector trends, competitive landscapes, and macroeconomic factors that shape investment decisions
• Participate in live transactions, due diligence processes, and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and departments
• Assist in crafting client-facing materials that drive strategic decision-making and transaction execution.
• Work closely with senior banker members across geographical regions

Requirements

Desired qualifications and what we’re looking for:

• Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program graduating between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028, preferably within the Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics sector.
• Interest in financial markets, corporate finance, and/or the banking industry as demonstrated by participation in relevant extracurricular activities
• A quick learner who has a keen interest in the investment banking business
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of clients and colleagues
• Enthusiastic team player

Intern Hourly Rate: The hourly pay range for this position is $30-35 per hour. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

This position is a seasonal role with limited benefit eligibility unless required by local, state or federal law. Performance Trust will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Performance Trust now or in the future.
