We’ll be honest: this isn’t your typical enterprise AE role, and we’re not looking for a typical enterprise AE.
We’re at an interesting moment at Zapier. Automation and AI are reshaping how businesses operate, and we’re right in the middle of it — profitable, growing, and building something that actually matters to the people using it. We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of that, not just someone who wants to hit a number.
The role: you’ll be selling Zapier’s automation platform to companies in the 1,000–5,000 employee range, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting to close. But there’s also a real field component here — we need someone who can work a room, build a network, and create the kind of presence that doesn’t get forgotten on a Zoom call.

ABOUT YOU
- You have 5+ years of demonstrated success in selling horizontal SaaS solutions to multi-stakeholder or technical organizations across the mid-market and Enterprise levels, with a strong focus on automation, integrations, and enhancing tech stack efficiency.
- Proven track record of success in closing enterprise-level software deals over $100K and meeting or exceeding your sales quota
- Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and tools like Zapier, with the ability to explain their importance in modern tech ecosystems.
- You're naturally curious about AI and regularly experiment with different AI tools to drive efficiency in your day-to-day work or personal life.
- Demonstrated ability to discuss IT concerns, including security, scalability, compliance, and performance, in a credible and knowledgeable manner.
- Excellent communication skills both with customers and within an organization
- Ability to develop and navigate senior-level relationships quickly and effectively
- You thrive in a state of ambiguity and are motivated by strong personal drive
- You use AI in your work today, not occasionally, but as part of how you operate at a high level. You can point to workflows you’ve built, how your approach has evolved through iteration, and the impact on quality, efficiency, and experience — while intentionally applying AI for the right outcomes, setting a high bar for outputs, and taking ownership of what ships.
WHAT WE CARE ABOUT
- Trust and credibility. In a conference room or on a call, people pay attention when you speak because you’re saying something worth hearing. You build trust quickly with executives and practitioners alike.
- Applied AI fluency. You’re actively building with AI tools—not just talking about them. You can point to specific ways you’ve used automation or AI to solve a real problem, and you can articulate that value to an enterprise buyer. Custom GPTs, workflow automation, and a coherent point of view on where this is going.
- Judgment. You read situations fast, hold your own with executives, and figure out what matters. You ask good questions and actually listen. You translate technical product value into business language that executives act on.
- Drive. You have a track record of pursuing hard problems—competitive environments, building from scratch, earning results in resource-constrained settings. You don’t wait for a playbook.
- Builder’s mindset. Enterprise sales here operates like a small, fast team building the motion from scratch inside a profitable, growing company. There’s no finished playbook, the product is still evolving, and the team is still growing. We need people who deliberately opt into that.
- Clear communication. You write clearly and concisely. You run a meeting that ends with decisions, not more meetings. Your Slack messages are crisp. Your deal memos make the case without a 40-slide deck.
THINGS YOU’LL DO
- Own enterprise accounts end to end: prospecting, discovery, negotiation, close, and expansion
- Sell Zapier’s AI-powered automation platform to enterprises moving from manual workflows to orchestrated, AI-first operations
- Show up in the field: build relationships at events, conferences, and executive briefings that go deeper than a LinkedIn connection
- Build relationships across the org—from the people doing the work up to the C-suite
- Lead conversations that help customers think through the real business impact of automation, not just the product features
- Quarterback complex deals across Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Product—you’re accountable for the outcome, not just your piece
- Help shape how we go to market at the enterprise level; the team is small, fast, and building the motion from scratch
