Accounts Payable Analyst, Financial Operations Team

This position is a hybrid in-office role that works out of our Headquarters in Boston, MA (this role is not a virtual / remote position). 4 days in office/ 1 day WFH

The Wayfair Financial Operations organization is growing and looking to add associates to their team in Boston. The associates will support the Accounts Payable teams by analyzing data related to supplier/vendor transactions and operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and planning skills, highly motivated, detail oriented, collaborative, self-motivated, customer oriented mindset, a high sense of urgency and problem-solving abilities to the role.

The Financial Operations team supports and manages the day-to-day activities for many teams across the organization.This team serves as a Finance service center for all employees, Suppliers, Vendors, Category Management, Offshore teams, legal, and HR.

Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring our suppliers/vendors are paid accurately within agreed payment terms
• Educating and guiding suppliers from a finance lens throughout their partnership with Wayfair, from onboarding through scaling
• Responding to finance-related questions, concerns, and disputes
• Addressing all ticket inquiries in a timely manner
• Proactively liaise with Wayfair’s 3rd party providers Offshore team
• Completing the reconciliation process for outgoing payments
• Supporting Accounting with month- and quarter-end close tasks, including SOX controls and supporting data requests
• Partner & collaborate with all stakeholders impacted by the services & support the P2P end to end process
• Review and validate Vendor Setup requests
• Perform validation checks on Purchase Orders
• Enter and Upload Invoices into the system
• Point of contact for escalations for suppliers and internal Wayfair business partners
• Providing analyses of what suppliers have sold, allowance and credit structures, and deductions being paid out, as well as opportunities to improve both parties financial standing
• Supporting the launch of New Business Initiatives and driving them to a scalable and sustainable state from a FinOps lens.
• Challenging the status quo of our current work streams and helping to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains as we continue to scale
• Ensure all processes are documented and assist in the development of the function

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related subject
• 1+ years of relevant financial analysis and/or transactional accounting experience
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, SAP, Coupa, SQL or GBQ preferred, but not required
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• A proactive, detail oriented team player
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong planning and forward-thinking capabilities
• Proficiency in Google Enterprise Suite tools (calendar, mail drive, docs, sheets, slides, meet)
• Extremely high level of discretion pertaining to confidential information
