Job Summary

We are hiring for one of our clients seeking an Advanced Project Engineer to serve as the primary engineering point of contact for assigned projects. This role involves leading cross-functional coordination across engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure successful execution of complex engineering programs. The position requires strong technical leadership, customer interaction, and ownership of project scope, schedule, and cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects across R&D, new product development, redesign, and production programs
  • Manage RF subsystem development including design, integration, testing, and manufacturing coordination
  • Act as the primary technical interface with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional integration issues during development
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
  • Ensure adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and performance targets
  • Conduct technical reviews throughout the product lifecycle (development to production)
  • Perform trade studies, functional analysis, and requirements allocation
  • Provide technical direction, lead design reviews, and resolve anomalies
  • Monitor project metrics including cost, schedule, and performance (EAC, variance reporting)
  • Support risk identification and mitigation strategies

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of Project Engineering experience
  • 2+ years of experience in engineering design and development
  • Core Skills:Strong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and system design
  • Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams
  • Knowledge of project lifecycle, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Active DoD Security Clearance
  • Expertise in RF/Microwave subsystem design
  • Experience with simulation, modeling, and verification techniques
  • Knowledge of space systems, high-reliability (Hi-Rel) programs, and space standards

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Must comply with U.S. export control regulations (U.S. Person requirement or eligibility)
