Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Advanced Robotics Engineer specializing in Automation to join their dynamic remote team. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing sophisticated robotic systems and automated processes. You will leverage cutting-edge technologies to enhance efficiency, precision, and safety across various manufacturing and production workflows. Responsibilities:
Design and develop advanced robotic systems, including robot kinematics, dynamics, and control algorithms. Implement and optimize automation solutions for complex manufacturing processes. Program industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) using proprietary languages and software. Develop and integrate vision systems, sensors, and other peripherals into robotic cells. Conduct feasibility studies and R&D for new automation technologies and applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, quality) to define project requirements and deliverables. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to robotic systems and automated equipment. Ensure all automation designs comply with safety standards and regulations. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in robotics, AI, and automation technologies.
Qualifications:
Master's or Ph.D. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience (5+ years) in designing, programming, and implementing industrial robotic systems and automation solutions. Proficiency in robotic programming languages and simulation software (e.g., ROS, MATLAB/Simulink, RobotStudio). Strong understanding of control theory, kinematics, and dynamics. Experience with PLC programming and industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profinet). Familiarity with CAD software for mechanical design and analysis. Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment. Experience with AI and machine learning for robotics applications is a plus. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
