Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer to join their state-of-the-art facility in Houston, Texas, US . This role is integral to optimizing production processes, enhancing manufacturing efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards for aerospace components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background, a deep understanding of manufacturing principles, and experience within the aerospace industry. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes for complex aerospace parts and assemblies. This includes defining production methods, selecting appropriate tooling, and ensuring efficient workflow from raw materials to finished products. A key part of your role will involve analyzing production data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve throughput, reduce costs, and minimize waste. You will collaborate closely with design engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and ensure product specifications are met. Developing and maintaining manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures, will be essential. The Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer will also be involved in the selection and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment. Ensuring adherence to stringent aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100) and safety regulations is paramount. Troubleshooting production issues, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing corrective actions will be a critical responsibility. Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and optimize aerospace manufacturing processes. Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost. Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams on manufacturing solutions. Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and SOPs. Select and implement new manufacturing technologies and equipment. Ensure adherence to aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100) and safety regulations. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions. Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Support new product introduction by developing manufacturing plans. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly, composites). Experience with lean manufacturing principles and tools. Knowledge of AS9100 or other relevant quality management systems. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work effectively in a production environment and collaborate with teams.
