Responsibilities & Expectations
- Develop machining processes for parts fabrication, including designing fixtures, cutting tools, and gages.
- Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives across production.
- Create detailed work instructions (MOT's), setup sheets, and process plans to ensure operational success.
- Lead efforts to share and implement lessons learned and best practices.
- Propose process improvements to enhance quality and customer satisfaction.
- Have a thorough understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with advanced engineering software and ERP systems is preferred.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) due to ITAR regulations.
- Experience in aerospace-related manufacturing is highly preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of experience with sheet metal fabrication and welding is required.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field is highly preferred.
- Ability to work onsite in an office environment for up to 8 hours at a time.
- Expertise in reading and interpreting aerospace drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a production setting.
- Able to manage multiple tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex information at all organizational levels.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective time management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking, and typing.
- Occasional lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, grasp, twist, bend, and perform repetitive motions as needed.
- Willingness to wear necessary personal protective equipment, including earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
