Job Description
What is the opportunity?
We are looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled individual to join our team as an Agentic AI Engineer within the AiXel (AI Innovation-X (Centre of Excellence)) team under Group Risk Management. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is eager to apply AI engineering skills in real-world, high-impact scenarios. In this role, you will work within the development team and collaborate closely with business stakeholders to build vertical AI applications that are deeply rooted in real business problems. You will contribute to the full development lifecycle, from initial ideation and proof of concept all the way into production, using cutting-edge generative AI and agentic AI technologies to drive innovations in risk management.
What will you do?
- Participate in the end-to-end development of high-impact agentic AI solutions, from idea design and PoC to production deployment and ongoing enhancement.
- Work closely with business users to deeply understand their workflows and challenges, translate business use cases into practical technical solutions, and iterate on solutions based on feedback.
- Design and implement agentic workflows, including multi-agent orchestration, tool-use patterns, and autonomous agent capabilities.
- Present technical solutions and project updates to both technical peers and business stakeholders.
- Continuously learn and keep up with the latest advancements in agentic AI, generative AI, and related technologies, sharing knowledge with the team.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Hands-on experience prototyping GenAI applications, including working with foundational LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude models via API) and transformer models (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers); familiarity with agentic and GenAI frameworks and tools (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph), and vector databases (e.g., Weaviate, PGVector).
- Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, including designing and refining prompts to optimize LLM outputs, function calling, and structured output design.
- Hands-on experience developing modular, robust, and scalable software in Python 3.x.
- Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and its role in enabling AI agents to interact with external tools and data sources.
- Knowledge of agent skills architecture and patterns for composing reusable, modular agent capabilities.
- Knowledge of modular RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and agentic system design.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices across the software development lifecycle, including coding standards, testing methods, code reviews, and version control.
- Willingness and ability to quickly learn and adapt to new advancements in agentic AI and GenAI.
- Strong logical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
- A master's degree or higher in AI, computer engineering or a related field is preferred.
Nice-to-have
- Hands-on experience with MCP integration, agent skills development, and modular RAG implementation in agentic workflows.
- AI-native mindset: proficiency in applying AI-powered tools (e.g., AI coding assistants, AI-augmented research and writing tools) into day-to-day work.
- Knowledge of embedding model fine-tuning and LLM performance evaluation techniques.
- Experience deploying GenAI applications in production environments and supporting enterprise-scale use cases.
- Experience working in the financial industry or other regulated environments.
- Familiarity with financial risk management concepts.
