Job Description :

Role Overview

Data Scientist at L5 or L6 level

Senior role responsible for owning and leading projects end to end

Background that blends data, finance, and product/project ownership

Core Responsibilities

Own projects from inception through delivery

Design and build tools that leverage large datasets

Develop and prototype data-driven tools, including:

A desk-style internal tool

A pricing engine

Team currently does not have one

Define parameters and logic to determine pricing outputs

Build and maintain:

Data models

Prototypes used by the business

Technical & Analytical Scope

Hands-on work with large data sets

Strong involvement in:

Data modeling

Pricing logic

Prototyping tools used by stakeholders

Experience building tools that support fund related use cases

Using large data sets

Domain & Background Preferences

Finance background

Ideal candidate profile could look like:

Hedge fund or investment firm environment or

Investment houses such as Fidelity

Experience creating tools used by funds is strongly preferred but not required

Project & Product Experience

PM experience strongly valued

Proven ability to:

Define requirements

Drive execution

Deliver a finished product

Has successfully led at least one tool or initiative start to finish

Team Structure

Team currently consists of two people in similar role.
