As a vital member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to enhance customer experiences through advanced AI technologies, including NLP and large language models. You'll engage in all phases of the AI lifecycle, from ideation and prompt crafting to model fine-tuning and deployment, ensuring our solutions deliver real value through rigorous A/B testing.
What you'll be doing:
- Work closely with business partners to identify impactful use-cases for GenAI.
- Support the data science team in deploying scalable AI applications across the enterprise.
- Collaborate within a multi-functional team to productionise AI services on AWS.
- Enhance our tech stack, including MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and AI Python libraries.
- Develop prompts, fine-tune models, and track outcomes.
- Evaluate third-party GenAI technologies, performing cost-benefit analyses.
- Manage projects from scoping and research to production deployment and impact measurement.
- Contribute to standards for code quality and model development.
- Engineer data to ensure optimal performance for AI applications.
- Communicate insights on business impacts to peers and management.
- Write production-grade Python code while maintaining appropriate test coverage; proficiency in SQL required.
- Coordinate with third-party partners and stay updated on industry trends.
- Work with data governance teams on data requirements.
What we hope you bring:
- You are a self-starter with a successful track record of driving commercial benefits through research and model deployment.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- PhD or MSc in a relevant field such as Machine Learning, Computer Science, or Statistics.
- Proven experience in developing NLP models and fine-tuning LLMs in a commercial context.
- Adept at translating project briefs into impactful results.
- Engage effectively with non-technical stakeholders for scoping and designing machine learning solutions.
- Proficient in the Python data science stack (pandas, scikit-learn, Jupyter) and version control (Git).
- Exposure to LLMOps, model monitoring, and relevant tech (Docker, MLflow, k8s, FastAPI).
- Knowledge of Langchain, huggingface, and LLM offerings from third-party vendors.
- Understanding of OO programming and software design principles.
- Familiarity with AGILE methodologies.
- Experience with Databricks and RAG application architecture is a plus.
- Background in latency optimisation and quantisation preferred.
