AI Engineer

The Development & Alumni Affairs Office is establishing a new AI & Data Lab to support innovation in advancement intelligence. We are seeking a technically strong and motivated AI Engineer to implement our AI strategy roadmap and deliver solutions that enhance fundraising and alumni engagement. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy LLM‑embedded applications to automate workflows and improve office operations.

Implement AI platforms, systems, and services that support agentic AI initiatives within DAAO.

Apply AI governance practices as directed, ensuring responsible and secure adoption of AI technologies.

Translate strategic priorities into actionable technical solutions in collaboration with senior leadership.

Build and maintain retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and other advanced AI frameworks.

Contribute to agile development practices and foster innovation within the Lab.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields with at least 2 years’ relevant experience.

Strong background in software development with hands‑on experience in building scalable applications.

Proficiency in API design, integration, and management.

Solid knowledge of networking, security protocols, and system architecture.

Experience with cloud platforms, backend frameworks, and workflow automation.

Familiarity with RAG, vector databases, and modern AI toolchains.

Demonstrated ability to work with agentic AI and generative AI applications.
