On-site

Job Description

Our client is a leading global buy-side firm with strong global presence across London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shanghai. With a compact, collaborative technology environment and a culture of continuous innovation, they’re looking for an AI Engineer to join an embedded AI function helping reshape how the firm operates—focusing primarily on front-office investment workflows and expanding to other business areas over time. You’ll work side-by-side with investment teams to understand real day-to-day processes and opportunities, deliver practical GenAI solutions that create measurable impact, and contribute to shared libraries in partnership with the central AI Platform team. Benefits include breakfast and lunch provided daily, on-site baristas, healthy snacks, an on-site gym with classes and personal training, cycle-to-work support, private medical insurance and additional insurance coverage, a generous pension plan, regular social events, charity involvement opportunities, plus greenfield learning and development in a flat, team-driven organisation.

Roles are based in Hong Kong & full relocation package provided.

About the Role

Our client operates with a compact technology function and a collaborative, globally connected culture, using the most appropriate technology for each use case to enable engineers to continuously build skills and work with modern tools and methods. They are seeking an ambitious, high-energy AI Engineer to join their AI organisation, focused on transforming how the firm operates with a particular emphasis on front-office investment workflows . As a trusted technical partner embedded within investment teams and later expanding across the wider business, you’ll work directly alongside stakeholders to understand day-to-day processes, identify opportunities and constraints, and translate investment needs into practical AI-enabled solutions. You’ll drive measurable business impact by applying the firm’s advanced GenAI capabilities, while also contributing to shared libraries and partnering with the central AI Platform team to shape core tooling direction, working in a fast-moving, delivery-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain dependable, scalable AI-driven workflows and systems.
  • Embed with investment and front-office teams to understand how they operate, pinpoint where AI can improve decision-making or productivity, and explain technical ideas in a clear, concise way.
  • Establish and promote standards for applied AI, enabling other teams through reusable tooling and solution assets.
  • Ensure outputs consistently deliver measurable results for partner teams—so teams can continue leveraging AI effectively without ongoing embedded support.
  • Monitor, support, and iteratively enhance live AI applications already in use.
  • Contribute to improvements of the core AI platform, and help build/extend shared frameworks and libraries used by the wider group.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
