AI Model Validation Analyst

Role Description

The AI Model Validation Analyst / Machine Learning QA Specialist / AI Performance Testing Engineer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of AI and machine learning models in production or pre-deployment environments. This role focuses on testing, validating, and monitoring models to ensure they meet business requirements, performance benchmarks, and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities include designing and executing validation tests, monitoring model outputs, identifying and diagnosing issues, ensuring models perform as intended, and documenting testing results. The role involves collaborating with data scientists, software engineers, and AI/ML operations teams to support continuous improvement, model governance, and risk mitigation.

AI Model Validation Analysts focus on evaluating model correctness and compliance, Machine Learning QA Specialists focus on testing and quality assurance across ML pipelines, while AI Performance Testing Engineers ensure models are robust, scalable, and operationally efficient.

At senior levels, responsibilities expand to developing AI/ML validation frameworks, establishing quality standards, advising on model risk management, and contributing to AI governance and deployment strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

Proven experience in AI/ML validation, testing, or quality assurance

Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)

Experience with testing methodologies for AI/ML models, including performance, bias, and accuracy evaluation

Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL)

Familiarity with MLOps pipelines, CI/CD, and production deployment practices

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams

Understanding of model governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements
