ABOUT THE ROLE

You're an engineer who builds things that make companies run faster. You see a manual process and your instinct is to automate it. You see a team bottleneck and you ship a tool to fix it — not next quarter, today.

We're hiring someone to own internal AI at Polymarket. You'll identify inefficiencies across every team, then build the agents, automations, and infrastructure to eliminate them. This is a hands-on-keyboard, high-autonomy role. You are the team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Find the highest-leverage problems across ops, finance, talent, CX, engineering, and marketing — then build AI-powered systems to solve them

• Design and deploy agents, copilots, and automations using LLMs, APIs, and whatever tools get the job done

• Write production code. Python, TypeScript, integrations across our stack (Notion, Linear, Slack, GitHub, etc.)

• Build shared infrastructure: prompt libraries, eval harnesses, agent frameworks, RAG pipelines

• Move fast. You should be experimenting with new models and tooling within days of release

• Set the standard for how the entire company builds with AI

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Engineer first. You write production code daily. 5+ years building software

• AI native. You live at the frontier — LLMs, agents, tool-use, evals, RAG. You don't just use AI tools, you build them

• Founder energy. You've started something or operated like someone who has. End-to-end ownership, minimal direction

• Shipping > planning. You'd rather deploy something useful today than architect the perfect system for months

• Full-stack. You can build the API, the UI, the pipeline, and the infra without waiting on anyone

• Founded or co-founded a startup (a plus)

• Open-source AI tooling contributions (a plus)

• Crypto / fintech / prediction markets background (a plus)
