Role Description:
- This is a full-time, on-site position for an AI Protein Scientist at AILSI in Hong Kong SAR.
- The ideal candidate will leverage artificial intelligence techniques to design and optimize proteins, contributing to our projects in drug development and therapeutics.
- The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to advance research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize AI and machine learning algorithms to design and optimize protein structures for therapeutic applications.
- Conduct research projects that integrate computational modeling with experimental validation.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and inform protein design strategies.
- Collaborate with biologists, chemists, and computational scientists to advance protein engineering initiatives.
- Develop and refine computational tools for protein structure prediction and design.
- Stay current with advancements in AI and protein science, applying new techniques to ongoing projects.
- Communicate findings through presentations, reports, and publications in scientific journals.
- Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Strong background in protein science and experience with protein modeling.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
