About the Role

We’re expanding our systems team at NUS Enterprise to build the backbone of our intelligent operations. As an AI & Systems Engineer, you’ll design and scale the systems that power our AI agents and data-driven workflows — from API integration to cloud architecture and data lake management.

We’re building our Enterprise Intelligence Hub and creating AI agents that automate the boring stuff — so our teams can focus on building what really matters.

If you love experimenting with new tools, designing scalable systems, and bringing automation ideas to life, we’d love to have you on board.

You’ll work closely with our AI and automation teams to connect platforms, manage real-time data flows, and build resilient infrastructure that enables smarter decision-making across NUS Enterprise.

What You'll Do

• Design and build APIs and connectors to integrate internal and external systems.
• Develop and maintain a data lake architecture that consolidates data across platforms for analytics, reporting, and AI training.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure on cloud environments (Azure preferred).
• Support the development of AI agents that automate workflows and leverage enterprise data.
• Build scalable backend services and pipelines to support intelligent automation.
• Troubleshoot and optimize system performance for reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with data, AI, and operations teams to identify new automation and integration opportunities.
• Up to 50% of your time will be spent working with vendors to support external projects involving startups.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

• 3–5 years of experience in systems engineering, backend development, or data integration.
• Strong hands-on experience with APIs (REST/GraphQL) and cloud architecture.
• Solid understanding of data management, ETL pipelines, and cloud data storage (Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, containerization (Docker), and version control (Git).
• Problem-solver mindset — you enjoy building, debugging, and scaling complex systems.
• A strong learning mindset — you’re eager to explore new tools, adapt quickly, and grow with evolving technologies.
• Passion for automation, AI systems, and emerging technologies.
