DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. Our Co-op/Intern Programming is offered with select Co-op and Internship roles and is designed to help you better understand the TD business, build on critical career capabilities, and broaden your professional network. This program is designed to complement your on-the job experience and features:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for interpreting data, producing insights, creating relevant collateral/ data visualization reports, and recommending actions on complex issues to support business needs. You will perform a variety of activities, which may include:

  • Perform Python/SQL data queries and support data sets for analysis/modelling, including cleaning data and feature engineeringwith best practices.
  • Analyze large, spatially enabled data sets andidentifytrends and insights to inform business decisions; communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support team members and business partners to develop,testand deploymachine learning models, for example: forecasting, optimization, orclassification/regressionmodels.
  • Proactivelyidentifyand solve business problems and opportunities where a data-driven solution would beappropriateand develop proposals / approaches
  • Collaborate with business partners to support the business case development process for analytics solutions

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in either a recognized undergraduate or graduate degree majoring in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Statistics, Business, Data Analytics,Business/Commerceor related fieldwith the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term.
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills and interest are necessary.
  • Strongproficiencyin one ormorePython, SQL, or other data-related programming languages.
  • Strongproficiencyin Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Knowledge in spatially enabled data, geospatial processing tools/platforms
  • Knowledge in one or more Azure, R, AWS, Databricks andGithubis a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
