Job Description

Overview

We are looking for an Analyst to join Lowe in Summer 2026. This person will complete a two-year program at the corporate headquarters in Los Angeles (Brentwood), after which they would be expected to relocate to Lowe's regional office in Washington, D.C. Ideal candidates will be graduating with their Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline during the first half of 2026, have relevant internship experience and be willing to relocate as described above.

This role will participate in all aspects of the real estate investment/development process including analysis of commercial office, residential, hotel, resort, retail, and mixed-use developments and acquisitions as well as corporate capital market activities, which could include participation in workout, receivership and asset management assignments. Responsibilities include a combination of specific project related work and entity level corporate finance assignments.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis

Perform complete financial analysis of prospective investment and development properties, as well as potential entity-level and platform investment opportunities, including preparation of financial cash flow models, sensitivity analyses and venture investment return analyses. In addition, assist properties in asset management, development, operations and sales and marketing work as necessary.

Investment Documentation

Assist in the preparation of investment collateral material, including investment summaries, private placement memoranda, business plans and presentations.

Due Diligence

Assist with completion of all necessary aspects of the due diligence process for any investment opportunities pursued by the development, acquisition or capital markets groups.

Market Research

Assist in researching and documenting local, regional and national real estate market data relevant to specific investment opportunities.

Sourcing and Capital Raising

Assist with all aspects of the deal sourcing and capital raising process, including participating on broker calls, capital calls, and going-upstream to find investment opportunities.

Development Process

Monitor and report on development process. Document project meetings, task follow-up, status reports and track to completion for overall project support. Assist with preparation and review of monthly reporting. Participate with coordination of consultants during development processes.

Special Projects

Work with project team to research and analyze potential development, redevelopment and/or new business opportunities, and assist in preparation of materials for capital raising initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, accounting, real estate, and/or finance from a top 4-year institution by summer 2026
  • Prior internship experience at an investment sales or capital markets brokerage firm, investment bank, development firm, or investment firm
  • Highest level of personal integrity and ethical standards
  • Strong personal initiative and desire to succeed in a demanding, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a collegial, team framework
  • Excellent communication skills - written, oral and interpersonal
  • Superior quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize duties, process multiple projects, work collaboratively, and meet deadlines
  • Comprehension of real estate fundamentals
  • Grasp of finance and economic principles and market dynamics
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Argus, as well as Word and PowerPoint
