Role Overview

We are looking to fill an existing vacancy. This role is a strong entry point into Marketing and Competitive Intelligence (CI), with a focus on data, analysis and building practical skills over time.

It is a data-focused role, working with structured datasets including CRM extracts, internal reporting and external market data to help the firm understand its performance, track competitors and support marketing and business development opportunities.

The successful candidate will gather, organize and analyze data, and learn how to turn it into clear, useful information. The focus is on accurate data, structured reporting and supporting analysis.

Over time, the Analyst will build the skills to move from supporting analysis to contributing to how the firm understands its market and makes strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection and Reporting

  • Extract, clean and organize data from CRM systems, experience databases and internal reports
  • Build and maintain Excel-based trackers and basic dashboards to monitor client activity, deal flow and competitor trends
  • Work with large datasets, ensuring accuracy, consistency and usability
  • Support the development of repeatable reporting processes

Market Data and Competitor Analysis

  • Track league tables, including Bloomberg and Mergermarket, and update internal datasets
  • Monitor competitor activity including hires, mandates and public announcements
  • Maintain structured datasets to support ongoing market analysis
  • Support the preparation of competitor profiles and market summaries

Analysis Support

  • Contribute to identifying patterns and trends in data
  • Assist in drafting summaries and reports based on data and research
  • Support senior team members in translating data into clear takeaways

Marketing and Business Development Support

  • Respond to data requests from marketing and business development teams
  • Support go-to-market efforts with accurate, timely data

Tools and Data Management

  • Work regularly in Excel and CRM systems to support reporting and analysis
  • Help maintain data quality and consistency across systems
  • Support improvements to templates, trackers and reporting processes
  • Work closely with marketing, business development and other internal teams
  • Take direction from senior CI team members while building confidence and independence
  • Contribute to a team environment focused on accuracy, clarity and responsiveness

Qualifications And Experience

  • One to four (1–4) years of experience in data analysis, research, business intelligence or a related degree
  • Strong Excel skills, including working with large datasets, formulas and data manipulation
  • Experience working with CRM or structured datasets is an asset
  • Comfort working with numbers and detail-oriented tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in professional services is helpful but not required
  • Bilingual French and English is an asset for Montréal

Salary Range

The expected starting salary range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000. The final offer will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications.
