Job Title: Entry-Level Benefits Analyst (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Chicago Loop, Chicago, IL (Onsite – 5 days/week; Hybrid upon conversion)
Pay Rate: $25–$27/hour (Contract)
Conversion Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Benefits Analyst to join our team in the Chicago Loop. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering hands-on experience supporting employee benefits programs, data analysis, and compliance efforts. This role is fully onsite during the contract period, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule upon permanent hire.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans
- Support benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS systems
- Audit benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, and coverage
- Assist with open enrollment processes, including communications and system updates
- Partner with HR and payroll teams to reconcile benefits deductions and reporting
- Generate reports and analyze benefits data to identify trends or discrepancies
- Support compliance efforts related to ERISA, ACA, and other regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related analytical role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and validate data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis functions preferred)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Workday) is a plus
Work Schedule
- Contract Period: 100% onsite (5 days/week) in the Chicago Loop
- Post-Conversion: Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
