Job Description

As the Analyst – Environmental Product Compliance, you will assist the businesses with customer environmental compliance requests. You will be involved with working with sales, marketing, customers and vendors to track incoming requests, gathering significant amount of data, data entry and reporting required information to customers in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management of all environmental product compliance (EPC) requests for REACH, RoHS, WEEE, Proposition 65, Conflict Minerals and other such product regulations.
  • Provide guidance within regulatory affairs, product engineering, technical publications and operations.
  • Responsible for the product environmental compliance process, database and supplier relationship.
  • Manage Environmental Product Compliance business process, including process maps and procedures.
  • Possess and apply a broad knowledge and understanding of the regulatory and legal frameworks, regulatory requirements, legislation, processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong project management, writing, coordination, and execution of environmental compliance tasks, with emphasis on technical activities.
  • Review of environmental standards and regulations.
  • Ensure that all new products are assessed for potential environmental hazards and recommend necessary improvements prior to appropriate design phases per the written procedures.
  • Present and provides direction to management and potentially executive leadership.
  • Assist in the development and update of strategy based upon regulation and standard changes.
  • Demonstrate understanding and ability to investigate and evaluate updates and new regulations.
  • Determine and communicate environmental requirements and internal processes.
  • Provide regulatory input for and appropriate follow-up to inspections and audits.
  • Operate with some latitude for independent action or decision, and reviews progress with management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of SOPs and systems to track and manage product-associated events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree – Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies & Sustainability, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Supply Chain Management; Masters Degree
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant environmental, regulatory, engineering or inventory management experience
  • Experience in the wire & cable, network security, or utility industry preferred
  • Previous experience in legal, technical or a regulated environment required
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Basic PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft office Suite, including Excel
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Compensation Details $66,477 - $106,363 Annually

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
