The Team

Due to continued business growth and strong client demand across the Asia Pacific region, Alvarez & Marsal is seeking graduates who are looking to kickstart their careers in consulting to join our Hong Kong office across multiple practices and candidates are encouraged to apply to the discipline(s) that best match their background and interests. Opportunities are available in:

  • Transaction Advisory: Delivers buy‑side and sell‑side financial due diligence, providing critical insights into financial performance, cash flows, and operational drivers.
  • Insolvency: Supports restructuring and insolvency engagements by analyzing distressed situations, executing recovery strategies, and maximizing stakeholder value.
  • Forensic Technology: Conducts forensic investigations using eDiscovery, digital forensics, and data analytics to support disputes and regulatory matters.
  • Tax Advisory: Provides tax structuring, due diligence, and compliance advisory to help global investors and corporates optimize value.

You will gain exposure to a broad range of advisory work and work on high‑impact, fast‑paced engagements with leading private equity firms, corporates, financial institutions, and government entities in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

How You Will Contribute

As an Analyst, you will work side‑by‑side with experienced advisors on complex, high‑impact assignments across industries. Depending on the practice you will be working for, your assignments may include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting financial, industry, and market research to support advisory engagements
  • Assisting with quantitative and qualitative analysis, including financial models and scenario assessments
  • Supporting due diligence, investigations, and review processes across client engagements
  • Collecting, organizing, and validating data from multiple sources for analysis and reporting
  • Preparing clear, structured materials and analysis to support advisory, compliance, and decision‑making activities
  • Conducting the identification, collection, and management of electronic data and perform forensic investigations and analysis using forensic methodologies and common tools to support electronic discovery, legal proceedings, and computer forensics. (For Forensic Technology Analyst)

You’ll learn the skills to drive change and help clients transform their businesses and optimize their capital structures. This role offers a hands‑on, fast‑paced learning environment where you will build strong analytical, technical, and communication skills while contributing to measurable outcomes for clients and supporting the continued growth of the practice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Taxation, Accounting and Finance with strong academic performance
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Sciences or Information System (For Forensic Technology applicants)
  • Internship experience in consulting or related fields
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with structured thinking
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, results-driven, and entrepreneurial mindset
