Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental research on Japan domestic sectors to identify and develop investment ideas.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks to support investment analysis.
• Perform company, industry, and macro analysis to evaluate investment opportunities and key risks.
• Prepare and present investment recommendations to the investment team.
• Monitor portfolio positions, catalysts, and risk exposures, including performance attribution and drawdown analysis.
• Track corporate developments, earnings, and industry trends relevant to Japan equities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 3 - 7 years of experience in equity research, asset management, hedge funds, or investment banking (buy-side or sell-side).
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct fundamental company and industry research.
• Fluent Japanese and English required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present investment ideas clearly.
• High level of intellectual curiosity, discipline, and attention to detail.
