The Opportunity:
We are seeking an Analyst to join the Portfolio Management team supporting BGO’s flagship Canadian real estate investment vehicle. This role sits at the intersection of investments, asset management, performance, and investor communication, providing exposure to portfolio construction, fund-level strategy, and decision-making.
The Analyst will work closely with Portfolio Managers and collaborate across investments, asset management, and capital raising teams to deliver insights that drive portfolio performance and support institutional investor relationships.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to institutional real estate portfolio management, working directly with senior professionals and contributing to decision‑making across one of Canada’s leading real‑estate platforms.
The role will be based out of 1 York St., Toronto, and will be reporting to the Vice President, Associate Portfolio Manager. The candidate is expected to be in the office four days a week, on average.
What You Will Do:
- Produce and own fund-level analysis supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
- Develop investor materials, including presentations, DDQs, and RFP responses for institutional clients and consultants.
- Analyze portfolio performance, including returns, attribution, leverage, valuation, and income trends.
- Support portfolio construction insights, including sector allocation, geographic exposure, tenant concentration, and risk positioning.
- Evaluate market trends and competitive fund data to inform product positioning and new initiatives.
- Partner with Asset Management and Investments teams to translate property-level activity into portfolio-level insights.
- Drive data management and process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting quality and efficiency.
Who You Are:
- Minimum two years of relevant work experience in real estate investment or other aspects of institutional investment management or consulting.
- Proficient in advanced analytical functions in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe+. Proficiency in SalesForce is an asset but not required.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Able to synthesize complex data into clear, concise insights.
- Strong communication skills, with an interest in becoming externally facing over time. Bilingual (English/French) both in oral and written is an asset.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in commerce, business administration or economics.

Compensation:
- The expected base pay range for this role is $80,000-$115,000 annually, reflecting the location of the position and the scope of responsibilities, including portfolio complexity. Compensation may also vary based on each candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, in alignment with BGO’s commitment to recognizing individual contributions.
