Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Product Control function within the Fund Management team for Global Credit. This new role will focus on valuations and analytics for Private Credit investments, assisting in the end-to-end valuation process, collaborating with deal teams on complex valuations, and refining valuation templates in partnership with the Global Valuation Group. Additional responsibilities include coordinating third-party valuation reviews, supporting process improvements, and contributing to strategic initiatives such as technology implementations. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape and develop processes in a growing segment, requiring strong analytical skills, finance experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Valuations

  • Assist in reviewing investment valuations across all Private Credit funds, including Private Equities and Private Real Estate, ensuring valuation models are sound and assumptions are well-documented and supportable. While the primary focus will be on Private Credit, knowledge of Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) and Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) is a plus.
  • Compile valuation materials that will be presented to senior leadership and internal Valuation Committees on a quarterly basis.
  • Partner closely with portfolio management and deal teams to address valuation scenarios and understand new investment assumptions (e.g. warrant valuation, purchase allocations, etc.).
  • Facilitate alignment on valuation marks through conversations with the deal team, portfolio management, and third-party valuation firms.
  • Support the development and refinement of valuation models to better address credit investments.
  • Track and manage valuation deliverables to assure compliance with internal controls.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors for all valuation-related inquiries.

Valuation Reporting & Analytics

  • Partner with fund management teams, third-party administrators, and various teams throughout the firm to develop robust analytics and dynamic valuation reporting solutions, including self-service tools that empower various functions with real-time insights.
  • Assist in preparing and creating new valuation reports for quarterly Valuation Committee meetings.
  • Support regular/ad-hoc reporting requests from fund, segment, and firm leadership.

Process/Technology Initiatives

  • Assist in driving strategy within vertical on data and technology initiatives with respect to investment, fund, and investor data to drive consistent reporting across products.
  • Document policies and guidelines, partnering with other functions, that helps improve quality and promotes consistency across Global Credit
  • Promote ongoing adherence to established policies and guidelines, promoting a culture of compliance and consistency throughout the organization.

Requirements

Education & Certificates

  • Bachelor's degree, required
  • Concentration in Finance, Economics, or Accounting, preferred
  • Progress towards CFA is a plus

Professional Experience

  • 1-3 years relevant experience required. Prior experience with a focus on investment valuation and financial modeling a plus
  • Understanding of operating companies, real estate, energy companies, and other debt/equity financial instruments
  • Knowledge and experience analyzing and modelling cash flows
