As analytics and insights specialist, you will lead, supervise, and establish the benchmark for the team's operations, playing a pivotal role in setting the team's direction while engaging stakeholders, managing initiatives, and overseeing the generation of actionable insights in line with our strategic objectives.

You will be responsible for orchestrating the collection, change management, and coordination of data assets that underpin business intelligence (BI) and analytics projects. This includes steering the team towards effective data governance, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with best practices. As a leader, you will coach and mentor team members, nurturing their analytical skills, and empowering them to take on greater responsibilities. The role is based full-time in our Dubai office.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with relevant business departments to assess, gather and document data asset requirements that are aligned with business objectives.
  • Engage, manage and caretake all stakeholders collecting and validating requirements that enable prioritisation of projects and reference for product team.
  • Manage and pursue visibility of ongoing projects to the leadership with appropriate recommendations or action plans.
  • Showcase and celebrate examples of data usage that can inspire and support business areas to better utilise available data.
  • Lead and support the team to work alongside the business to promote the capability of data assets and support adoption, championing initiatives that will enable the business to gain value from new projects and data assets created by the team.
  • Promote development of those in the group to enable growth, enhancement and development within the team, managing team members strategically to fully utilise the resources in the department.
  • Create and maintain planning and prioritisation of requirement delivery.
  • Ensure requirements support streamlined estimation and development by the product team.
  • Execute and support in the creation of data assets through development, testing or analysis.
  • Ensure that all data assets are correctly governed in line with corporate standards.
  • Actively promote data management best practices and support the business to comply with corporate data privacy policies.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or honours in relevant discipline.
  • Additional qualification relevant to data analytics.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a data driven environment.
  • Extensive experience working with data assets that support a business need.
  • Knowledge and experience of languages such as SQL, Python, R, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience of visualisation best practice and enablement of data storytelling.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Experience with project management principles and techniques.
  • Proven team management experience.

You will have an edge if you have:

  • Experience in travel, tourism, aviation or cargo industry.
  • Strong data driven storytelling and stakeholder engagement skills.
