Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models.
  • Transform and structure raw data into clean, usable datasets for analytics and operational systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.
  • Support data workflows related to financial reporting and credit‑related data processes.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions.
  • Integrate with third‑party APIs and external data providers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies and pipeline issues.
  • Contribute to automation, monitoring, and performance optimisation of data systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2+ years experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or software development.
  • Strong experience with:
  • Python for data processing and ETL workflows.
  • Advanced SQL (joins, window functions, performance tuning).
  • Data modelling and pipeline design.
  • Experience working with APIs and data integrations.
  • Contribute to automation, monitoring, and performance optimisation of data systems.

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience working with financial or fintech data systems.
  • Exposure to credit reporting or credit‑bureau data (e.g., Metro 2).
  • Understanding of data quality, validation, and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience working with consumer or transactional datasets.

Nice to Have

  • Azure or other cloud platform experience.
  • Experience building enterprise data platforms.
  • Familiarity with regulated data environments.
  • Payment processing or financial services background.
