Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models.
- Transform and structure raw data into clean, usable datasets for analytics and operational systems.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.
- Support data workflows related to financial reporting and credit‑related data processes.
- Work with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions.
- Integrate with third‑party APIs and external data providers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies and pipeline issues.
- Contribute to automation, monitoring, and performance optimisation of data systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 2+ years experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or software development.
- Strong experience with:
- Python for data processing and ETL workflows.
- Advanced SQL (joins, window functions, performance tuning).
- Data modelling and pipeline design.
- Experience working with APIs and data integrations.
- Contribute to automation, monitoring, and performance optimisation of data systems.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience working with financial or fintech data systems.
- Exposure to credit reporting or credit‑bureau data (e.g., Metro 2).
- Understanding of data quality, validation, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience working with consumer or transactional datasets.
Nice to Have
- Azure or other cloud platform experience.
- Experience building enterprise data platforms.
- Familiarity with regulated data environments.
- Payment processing or financial services background.
