API Test Automation Engineer

Role name: API Test Automation Engineer (B) NCL

Work site: Miami (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain API automation frameworks for REST (and SOAP where applicable) services

Create automated functional, integration, regression, and contract tests for APIs

Validate API behavior including request/response, schema, business rules, error handling, and security

Integrate API automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)

Collaborate with developers to enable shift left testing and improve API testability

Use API automation for test data setup, service validation, and test orchestration

Analyze automation failures, manage flaky tests, and continuously improve stability and coverage

Contribute to test strategy, metrics, and reporting (coverage, pass rate*** defect leakage)

Mentor junior automation engineers and promote automation best practices across teams

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to quality and coding standards?
