The Job We are looking for technologydriven and detailoriented engineerto join our growing organization. This person will join our team of inside sales specialists and application engineers. This position is a presales application engineering role focused on industrial automation products and electric process heat solutions. It is not an instrumentation role and is not a field service or project execution position. The engineer will work with a broad range of automation and electric heat system products, including industrial sensors used in control systems, variable frequency drives, edge and distributed control devices, remote access and secure connectivity solutions, industrial networking devices, electric process heaters, process and temperature controllers, and electric heater power switching and control components. These products are applied as part of integrated industrial control and automation architectures. Ideally this candidate would also be able to design and quote UL508A industrial control panels. The Application Engineer serves as a technical resource to support sales functions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing application assessment, solution recommendations, quotations, and supporting technical documentation
• Developing quotes and proposals for large and complex projects (this represents the majority of the roles time and focus)
• Supporting customers by answering technical questions and providing engineering specifications and submittals
• Evaluating customer requirements and recommending appropriate automation and electric process heating solutions, including PLCs, HMIs, drives, control panels, and heating control systems
• Creating proofofconcepts and integrated solution concepts when needed
• Collaborating with sales teams, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to ensure technical and commercial alignment
• Taking ownership of product information within Branoms internal systems and external eCommerce platform
• Staying current on product lines, system architectures, and manufacturer training
• Performing other related duties as assigned on an asneeded basis

Qualifications and Competencies The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and capabilities to perform the essential duties of the role:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience (typically five or more years)
• Background in industrial automation systems; controls or electrical engineering experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to understand and interpret industrial programming concepts, including PLC logic, system architecture, HMIs, drives, and control strategies
• Experience providing presales technical support or applications engineering support
• Strong computer literacy with the ability to spend most of the workday on a computer
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel or Google Sheets; ability to learn new systems is required
• High attention to detail with a focus on quality, accuracy, and meeting deadlines
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Well organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment

Work Environment This role is primarily office and computerbased, with extended periods of sitting and independent work. Compensation and Benefits Salary range is $80,000$120,000 base plus quarterly bonus, depending on experience and skill set.
