Application Support Engineer – Financial Trading Technology (APAC) - J12728 (Hong Kong)

Our global financial trading client is looking for a technically-minded Application Support Engineer to join their Hong Kong technology team. This role is a central point of contact for the systems that power their APAC trade processing. You will manage, deploy, and optimize the mission-critical applications that ensure trading activities are captured, processed, and finalized accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-tier support for Post-Trade applications, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.

• Manage the end-to-end deployment of software across both Windows and Linux platforms.

• Actively reduce manual overhead by developing scripts and tools to improve system monitoring and management.

• Work closely with Middle Office and Operations teams to troubleshoot and refine the trade processing flow.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in application or production support, with a track record of managing complex deployments, ideally in a trading environment.

• One or more capabilities in Python, C#, SQL, or other programming languages. You should be comfortable reading code and writing scripts to solve operational problems.

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
