We’re working to improve shopping on Amazon using the conversational capabilities of large language models, and are searching for pioneers who are passionate about technology, innovation, and customer experience, and are ready to make a lasting impact on the industry. You’ll be working with talented scientists, engineers, and technical program managers (TPM) to innovate on behalf of our customers.
We’re looking for scientists with deep LLM expertise to help us build the next generation of large language models. Our team focuses on post‑training, including instruction tuning, reward modeling, reinforcement learning, and aligning LLMs with other embedding modalities.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will design and run large‑scale experiments, analyze model behavior, and develop new training recipes that directly improve core capabilities like reasoning, personalized experiences, and other frontier paradigms that redefine what LLMs can do.

USA, WA, Seattle – $ – $ USD annually. The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
