Job summary

This position is under the Employee Referral Program in Hong Kong. The Asia Equity Risk Management Analyst will be part of the Market Risk Department, focusing on monitoring, analysing, controlling and reporting equity market activities and derivatives.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate into the global RM Equity team, responsible for Equity Solution and Global Repo and Indexing (GRI) activities.
  • Control and analyse market risks and results, reviewing market limits and reporting limit breaches.
  • Contribute to valuation methodologies, calculation of adjustment reserves and parameter control methodologies.
  • Alert the Head of Market Risk Asia on important events, market risk exposures or abnormal situations.
  • Analyse, monitor and supervise daily production of results explanations.
  • Analyse and validate new operations / one‑offs.
  • Participate in material and presentations at the Asia Market Risk Committee.
  • Define and evolve market risk measurement methodologies and reserves/adjustments specific to products within GRI Equity and/or EIS scope.
  • Annual review of limits.
  • Produce and analyse market risks.
  • Calculate reserves for GRI Equity / EIS scope.
  • Conduct semi‑annual and annual business activity reviews.
  • Implement regulatory changes (FRTB, etc.) and respond to regulator requests (AQR, EBA Stress, QIS, etc.).
  • Improve and implement risk analysis and monitoring tools.
  • Assist the MAM team in maintaining a robust risk and valuation reporting framework.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree / BSc or equivalent, preferably in Risk Management, Finance, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics or Statistics.
  • 3‑5 years of experience in market risk control and activity monitoring.
