Assistant Analyst (Trading Assistant) – Cross-border Equity Department

Job Duties:

Trade Support & Operations

· Assist trader with pre-and-post-trade processes, including trade booking, confirmation, and reconciliation

· Monitor and manage trade lifecycle events for derivatives products such as options, swaps, futures, structured products as well as expirations, assignments, and corporate actions

· Work close with different counterpart such as clients, external counterpart, middle office and back office to resolve any trade breaks or settlement issues at timely manner

· Update and maintain accurate and up-to-date position and P&L reports

· Perform data analysis and generate daily, weekly, and ad-hoc reports for the desk

Desk Management & Strategy Support

· Develop a deep understanding of the desk’s products and risk management framework

· Participate ad-hoc projects and take ownership to develop scripts/programs to improve and automate desk processes and workflows

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with experience in equities trading domain is strong plus

· Strong foundational knowledge of equity derivatives (options, futures, swaps) and the underlying concepts of pricing and risk

· Exceptional numerical and analytical skills with a high level of attention to details

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel such as pivot tables, lookups, basic macros, etc. is essential

· Proficiency in programming/scripting such as Python, VBA, SQL for automation and data analysis

· Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin
