About the Opportunity
Our client is an insurance company in Hong Kong looking for a high-calibre, tech-savvy finance professional as Assistant Manager.
This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys combining traditional accounting with advanced data analytics and system enhancements. You will play a key role in delivering insightful management reports, building powerful dashboards, and supporting group-level financial processes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management reports under HKGAAP for both company-level and parent group reporting
- Support full month-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Structure large datasets and perform in-depth financial & operational data analysis to generate actionable business insights
- Design and develop dynamic dashboards, graphs, infographics and reports using Power BI and other visualisation tools
- Assist in interim and year-end audits, including preparation of disclosures and liaison with external auditors/regulators
- Provide ad-hoc accounting support and participate in accounting system enhancements, UATs and upgrades
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- Qualified HKICPA or Finalist candidate of HKICPA
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial and management reporting (insurance industry experience is highly preferred)
- Solid experience in financial data analysis; knowledge of IFRS 17 is a strong advantage
- Advanced proficiency in SAP accounting system, Power BI and Microsoft Excel
Strong Technical Skills (must have)
- Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, VBA
- Virtual Trader (intercompany automation)
- Microsoft NAV / AX, SUN Accounting
- SAP Concur T&E, Gorilla Expense
- Full MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
