Job Description

The Assistant Research Scientist supports ongoing research within the Center for Quantum Information Physics under the supervision of Professor Javad Shabani. The role involves active participation in laboratory research alongside graduate and undergraduate students, contributing to projects in material development for superconducting quantum electronics. Responsibilities include assisting with process design and development, device fabrication, and materials characterization. The position also involves maintaining research documentation, supporting collaborations within the group, and contributing to the overall progress of sponsored research activities.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $18/hr. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

This position is based in New York and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite as of their effective start date .
