Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Risk Manager to strengthen our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) capabilities and operational resilience across DayOne’s global data centers. This role is ideal for a proactive risk professional who thrives in a dynamic and mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
ERM Framework Implementation
- Support the design and implementation of DayOne’s ERM Framework.
- Act as a key second line of defence, providing independent oversight and reporting over risk status and activities across all business functions.
- Support the review and refinement of the DayOne’s risk appetite and tolerance levels to align with its business strategic objectives and operational priorities.
- Monitor alignment with the risk appetite through the use of key risk indicators (KRIs) and other performance metrics.
Risk Identification, Assessment, Mitigation & Reporting
- Support risk identification and assessment exercises, facilitate risk workshops and documentation of risk registers.
- Support ongoing monitoring and periodic evaluation of risk exposure, mitigation effectiveness and emerging risks.
- Support the Head of Risk to enable clear and timely risk reporting to Senior Management, Audit Committee and the Board.
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a trusted business partner for the execution of risk initiatives across functions and geographies.
Risk Culture & Awareness
- Design and deliver engaging risk awareness programs, including trainings and targeted communications to foster an active risk culture across DayOne.
A successful applicant should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in risk consulting, enterprise risk management or internal audit.
- Strong technical knowledge risk frameworks (e.g., ISO 31000, COSO) and best practices.
- Proficient in developing and managing risk registers and risk reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in assessing risks and recommending control measures.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and facilitation abilities—capable of delivering training sessions to diverse audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaled, and geographically distributed infrastructure environment.
- Preference for candidates with Big 4 Risk Consulting experience and exposure to the data center or tech infrastructure industry.
