Responsibilities

  • Understand core business drivers and priorities, identifying opportunities where advanced analytics can deliver significant value.
  • Explore diverse data sources and conduct thorough exploratory data analysis, pinpointing relevant data for problem-solving and creating valuable features for analytics.
  • Translate complex business problems and opportunities into tangible analytics requirements, recommending data‑driven solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to propose and evaluate actions for performance improvements.
  • Lead project discussions with stakeholders to define requirements and timelines, subsequently guiding internal team members through the execution phase.
  • Conduct in‑depth research, analyse, and articulate meaningful insights using data to accelerate business growth.
  • Develop compelling visualizations and interactive dashboards to effectively communicate analytical results to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the regional T&D team to develop robust data solutions, ranging from on‑demand queries to sophisticated machine learning models, aimed at driving business growth and productivity gains.
  • Manage end‑to‑end solution delivery and stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

  • A degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Relevant accreditations obtained via MOOCs or other educational institutions are considered a plus.
  • A minimum of six years of experience in data analytics.
  • Prior hands‑on experience within the banking industry is advantageous.
  • Functional / Technical Competencies:
  • Demonstrated strong business analysis skills.
  • Solid experience in understanding and visualizing data in the most effective manner for a given project.
  • Proficient knowledge in data wrangling using Python to perform independent analysis.
  • Experience in cloud computing platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS) and big data computation frameworks (e.g., Spark) is a mandatory requirement.
  • Knowledge of various data analytics techniques such as predictive, prescriptive, and machine learning.
  • Working knowledge in building visualizations, including interactive dashboards. Experience with Qlikview / Qlik Sense is a plus.
  • Banking domain knowledge and/or Consumer banking product knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in PoC/development with Generative AI/Agentic AI use cases is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Ability to navigate complex environments to drive outcomes with stakeholders.
  • Ability to clearly articulate data deliverables in an easily understandable manner, both orally and in written format.
  • A collaborative spirit with a proactive, "can‑do" attitude to assist business needs.
  • Passionate about new technologies and possessing an eager‑to‑learn attitude.
  • Strong resource planning and communication skills.
  • Proficient in English, Chinese, and Mandarin.
