Connect to your Industry

Deloitte’s AI & Data practice helps organisations unlock measurable value from data, automation and artificial intelligence, re-engineering products, platforms and operations to improve performance and accelerate speed to market. Within our Telecoms, Media & Technology (TMT) industry, we work with leading brands to apply AI in ways that reduce operating costs, improve customer and network outcomes, and create new digital products and revenue streams.

Our AI & Data team brings strategy, product thinking and engineering delivery together, shaping AI roadmaps, designing and deploying secure AI solutions, and supporting responsible adoption through governance, controls and change. We work closely with clients’ business and technology leaders and with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver outcomes across the full lifecycle from idea to scaled deployment.

Connect to your career at Deloitte

Deloitte drives progress. Using our vast range of expertise, we help our clients become leaders wherever they choose to compete. To do this, we invest in outstanding people. We build teams of future thinkers, with diverse talents and backgrounds, and empower them all to reach for and achieve more.

What brings us all together at Deloitte? It’s how we approach thousands of decisions we make every day. How we behave, our beliefs, and our attitudes. In other words: our values. Whatever we do, wherever we are in the world, we lead the way, serve with integrity, take care of each other, foster inclusion, and collaborate for measurable impact.

These five shared values lead every decision we make and action we take, guiding us to deliver impact how and where it matters most.

Connect to your opportunity

As an Associate Director in Applied AI within our AI & Data team, you will lead the commercial growth and delivery of Applied AI solutions across our major Telecoms, Media & Technology (TMT) clients. You will originate and shape new opportunities, develop and take to market innovative service offerings, and lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver secure, responsible and scalable AI outcomes.

  • Telecoms
  • Media & Entertainment
  • Technology (including software, platforms and digital services)

As an Associate Director in Applied AI (TMT), you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the commercial strategy and origination targets for Applied AI offerings across major TMT accounts, owning opportunities from initial client conversation through to proposal and close.
  • Designing, packaging and selling new advanced AI services and solutions that address clear client problems in telecoms, media and technology.
  • Leading executive-level client engagements and pitching directly to C-suite stakeholders, translating model capabilities into operating cost impacts and product roadmap implications.
  • Directing the delivery of complex AI solutions and pipelines, guiding technical teams on architecture and engineering approaches while remaining accountable for delivery outcomes.
  • Taking responsibility for the secure deployment of large language models and associated tooling, ensuring appropriate controls, testing, monitoring and data protections are embedded in delivery.
  • Ensuring delivery follows responsible and ethical AI frameworks, including governance for model risk, privacy, bias, explainability and human oversight.
  • Hiring, developing and managing a consulting team, coaching performance and career growth while holding teams to strong delivery standards, utilisation and margin expectations.

  • Hands-on experience leading delivery of production AI solutions (you guide architecture and engineering teams rather than writing or governing the code yourself), with clear accountability for outcomes.
  • Practical experience applying AI to at least one of: telco operations and customer service, media supply chains and content operations, or software engineering productivity and developer tooling.
  • Good understanding of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and their generative AI services, plus the security, data and operating model considerations required for enterprise deployment.
  • Ability to communicate complex machine learning concepts to senior stakeholders who care about business impact, costs, risk and time-to-value.

The following will be an added advantage:
