Job Description
What is the opportunity?
We are looking for a motivated and analytically strong individual to join our team as an Associate Director, Business Analyst within the AiXel (AI Innovation-X (Centre of Excellence)) team under Group Risk Management. You will serve as a credit risk domain expert embedded in the development team, directly shaping the business logic and domain knowledge that power our AI agents. You will bridge the gap between developers building cutting-edge agentic AI solutions and end users deeply rooted in their respective domains, ensuring that our AI applications are grounded in real business context and deliver tangible value.
Our team develops vertical AI applications for risk management across GRM, covering both first and second line of defense, spanning risk types including market risk, pricing, AI/ML, AML, credit risk, and more. Our solutions leverage agentic AI to automate and enhance risk management workflows — from documentation and assessment to analytics support — with new use cases actively being developed across risk domains.
What will you do?
- Serve as the bridge between the development team and business stakeholders: translate risk domain context into forms that developers can act on, and translate technical capabilities and constraints back to business users in terms they understand.
- Encode domain knowledge (e.g., model risk standards, white papers, validation reports) into structured forms that AI agents can consume and follow — such as prompts, agent skills, and evaluation criteria based on AI best practices.
- Review and validate agent outputs from the end user’s perspective, ensuring business alignment and identifying areas for improvement.
- Engage directly with end users and SMEs to gather requirements, elicit domain knowledge, and collect feedback on agent-produced outputs.
- Collaborate with the development team throughout the solution lifecycle — from initial use case scoping and knowledge design through to output validation and iterative refinement.
- Present findings, domain insights, and project updates to both technical peers and senior management.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Solid understanding of the financial domain, with depth in credit risk modeling, including retail and wholesale credit.
- 3+ years of experience working within a credit risk team or a closely related domain in a financial institution.
- Demonstrated experience producing or critically reviewing credit model white papers or validation reports in the areas such as Risk Rating models, AIRB (capital models), IFRS9/CECL (provisioning models), EWST/CCAR (stress testing models)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging across very different audiences — from technical developers to senior risk stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex domain problems into structured, actionable components.
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, and ways of working — particularly in fast-evolving AI-driven environments.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to critically review documents and agent outputs for accuracy and completeness.
- A collaborative, team-oriented attitude and comfort working in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
- A master’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., finance, risk management, economics, engineering, or a related quantitative discipline).
Nice-to-have
- Experience with model risk management processes, such as model development documentation and model validation.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, or workflow automation — e.g., building validation scripts, prototyping evaluation logic, or developing lightweight tools.
- Familiarity with AI and GenAI concepts — how large language models, agentic systems, and prompt engineering work — and an interest in applying these concepts hands-on.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and agent skills architecture — understanding how prompts, structured instructions, and modular agent capabilities shape AI agent behavior.
- Experience using AI-powered tools (e.g., AI coding assistants, AI-augmented research and writing tools) as part of daily work, with a drive to continuously adopt new ones.
What’s in it for you?
This is a unique role at the intersection of deep domain expertise and cutting-edge agentic AI. You will gain hands-on exposure to the latest AI tools and techniques while working on high-profile projects that drive real business transformation. You will interact with a wide range of stakeholders across domains and lines of defense, providing strong visibility and broad professional development. You will join a fast-growing team where every day brings new challenges and learning opportunities — an environment where your domain expertise directly powers the next generation of AI-driven solutions.
