About the Opportunity:
As the Head of Business Intelligence, you will lead our BI function and define how data‑driven insights shape our strategic direction. This is a senior leadership position where you will oversee the team, manage the roadmap, and ensure BI delivery generates maximum value across the organization.
You will serve as the critical bridge between business objectives and data capabilities. By translating complex inquiries regarding revenue, retention, and risk into sophisticated dashboards and actionable insights, you will ensure that data products are accurate, trusted, and delivered at pace.
In this role, you will transform raw data into strategic business decisions through effective leadership, optimized processes, and high‑impact data products.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and scale a team of analysts and analytics engineers while fostering a culture of data quality and intellectual honesty.
- Manage and prioritize the BI roadmap and backlog across all business domains, from Marketing and Product to Risk and Finance.
- Implement a revenue‑first prioritization framework to ensure BI efforts directly support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate ambiguous business problems into clear data requirements and actionable metric definitions.
- Synthesize complex data into compelling narratives that enable executives to make informed, fast decisions.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to build a robust underlying data layer that supports advanced analytics and semantic modeling.
- Set and maintain high standards for dashboard quality, metric governance, and the delivery of proactive business insights.
Requirements
- Proven leadership in managing and scaling BI or analytics teams, including recruitment and performance coaching.
- Ability to own the function's roadmap, capacity planning, and complex stakeholder management.
- Strong commercial instinct with the ability to distinguish impactful business questions from noise.
- Domain expertise in high‑velocity transactional sectors like fintech, crypto, or payments.
- Deep proficiency in B2C metrics, including acquisition funnels, retention curves, LTV, and CAC.
- Expertise in product and marketing analytics, from A/B testing to attribution models and lifecycle stages.
- Fluency across the modern analytics stack, including Databricks, dbt, and advanced visualization tools.
- A strategic mindset focused on data trustworthiness and the specific decisions enabled by BI products.
