SUMMARY
The Associate Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, accounting operations, and treasury functions within the Corporate Finance team. This role includes managing financial closing, reporting, cash flow planning, and liquidity management to ensure accurate and timely financial results and effective working capital utilization.
In addition, the position supports budgeting and forecasting activities, provides financial analysis to support business decision-making, and serves as a key point of contact for headquarters by coordinating financial communications and delivering requested reports and analyses. The role also works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial performance and business operations.
This position reports to the Head of Finance, or another management personnel that the CEO of the Company may designate. This position is In-Office located in Houston, TX and requires on-site attendance five days per week. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 5:30pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. This position is expected to travel up to 20%.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, and support quarterly reviews and year-end audits
- Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial information to management and headquarters
- Manage and perform cash flow planning, liquidity management, and working capital optimization, including monitoring cash positioning and payment cycles
- Coordinate and manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and credit facilities, and review payment transactions and treasury operations for accuracy and control
- Lead and support budgeting and forecasting activities in coordination with FP&A and relevant stakeholders
- Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights for executive decision-making
- Review and support key accounting activities, including vendor invoices, employee expenses, and payroll-related transactions
- Communicate and coordinate with headquarters on financial matters, including preparing and providing requested financial data, reports, and ad hoc analyses
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and coordinate with subsidiaries and affiliated entities on financial matters
- Monitor and improve departmental processes, controls, and resource utilization, and implement process and system enhancements as needed
- Provide guidance and training to team members and support team development
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management and maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, or another related field preferred
- CPA preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience
- Speaking and writing capability in both English and Korean is required
- Experience in the construction industry or renewable energy projects a plus
- Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting poli
