What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Senior Director, Risk & Regulatory Partnerships & Support, the Associate Director of Project and Technology Risk is accountable for operationalizing the project delivery risk and technology risk management framework from a business perspective. This role serves as the central hub and navigation resource for the BOSE team, for project delivery risk assessments pertaining to future state risk. The ideal candidate will combine framework-building expertise with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills to clarify roles, establish clear decision pathways, and coordinate across technology partners, risk partners, and operational risk partners, ensuring seamless risk governance and strengthening project delivery outcomes.

What will you do?

Project Delivery Risk Framework & Governance Establishment

  • Operationalize, clarify, and establish governance protocols for the existing project delivery risk framework for the BOSE team
  • Define how business resources should navigate and leverage the existing framework and make recommendations to amend the framework, where necessary
  • Establish clear decision pathways and governance protocols to guide business teams through risk assessment scenarios
  • Document risk assessment processes, touchpoints, and escalation protocols from a business perspective
  • Ensure clarity on roles, responsibilities, and partner engagement models across the project delivery risk ecosystem

Central Resource & Navigation Function

  • Serve as the central resource for business leads who need guidance on project delivery risk and technology risk
  • Establish well-defined decision pathways that enable business teams to confidently navigate the framework
  • Maintain current knowledge of risk partner capabilities and engagement models to facilitate seamless coordination

Cross-Functional Partnership & Coordination

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Technology & Operations partners, risk partners, and operational risk partners
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities across risk functions to ensure comprehensive and coordinated project delivery risk coverage
  • Foster open communication and collaboration to align on risk governance and assessment priorities

Must-have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years in risk management, project risk management, technology risk, or related roles
  • Demonstrated expertise in framework operationalization, process clarification, and cross-functional coordination
  • Experience in navigating and coordinating across multiple risk disciplines
  • Track record of enabling business teams through clear guidance and governance models
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships in complex, matrix environments

Nice to have:

  • Professional risk management certification (e.g., PRM, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred
