Associate Field Engineer

A company is looking for an Associate Field Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and support fiber optic validation and testing activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards

Review and validate fiber installation quality, including routing, labeling, termination, and splicing

Assist in the development and completion of test result packages and turnover documentation for customer acceptance

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field preferred

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in fiber optic installation, testing, or telecommunications infrastructure

Hands-on experience with fiber testing equipment (OLTS, OTDR) required

Familiarity with TIA / EIA standards and BICSI practices preferred

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and test requirements
