To support our continued growth and success, Nour Private Wealth (NPW) is seeking an experienced Associate Portfolio Manager to support one of our Portfolio Managers at NPW. This role requires an analytical, detail-oriented professional with strong investment knowledge, communication skills, and an understanding of portfolio construction and regulations, ideally within a CIRO-regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Portfolio Manager in portfolio construction, investment decisions, rebalancing activities, and asset allocation.
- Perform research and analysis across asset classes, securities, managed products, and market trends.
- Participate in client meetings, present market outlooks, and support discussions around portfolio strategy.
- Prepare and maintain Investment Policy Statements (IPS), portfolio proposals, and performance review materials.
- Execute trades and support daily portfolio monitoring to ensure alignment with client objectives.
- Uphold high standards of compliance, fiduciary duty, and investment integrity.
- Respond to client inquiries, facilitate account changes, and manage service-related requests.
- Prepare documentation and ensure completeness ahead of client meetings.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client information.
- Support administrative activities such as scheduling, document preparation, and follow-ups.
- Assist with onboarding of new clients, including account opening documentation.
- Review year-end and tax-related reports.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Portfolio Manager.
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
- CIRO licensed.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is required (or currently enrolled and nearing completion).
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation is required.
- Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation is required.
- 5–10 years of experience in portfolio management, discretionary portfolio management, or investment advisory services.
- Demonstrated experience managing diversified, multi-asset class portfolios including ETFs, individual securities, mutual funds, and alternative investments.
- Proven ability to retain, deepen, and attract new high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients.
- Strong knowledge of Dataphile, Morningstar, LSEG platforms, and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills- both written and verbal.
- Advanced organizational, scheduling, and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- LLQP licensing is considered an asset.
- Full fluency in both English and French required.
Compensation
Salary based on experience and competitive with market standards.
