Job Summary

HB is seeking an Associate, Prospect Engagement & Qualification to serve as a critical front-end driver of the firm’s growth by managing inbound prospects through qualification, nurture, and advancement toward close. As the first meaningful point of contact, the role evaluates prospect fit, actively progresses qualified opportunities, and routes early-stage or non-fit leads into marketing nurture. By partnering closely with Advisors, Marketing, and Business Development, this role protects Advisor time, improves conversion rates, and supports the creation of high-quality advisory relationships.

Job Responsibilities

Inbound Opportunity Ownership & Qualification

  • Assists with inbound Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) starting with first contact
  • Distinguish efficiently between qualified prospects and early-stage or non-fit leads, routing not-yet-qualified opportunities into Marketing nurture
  • Conduct consultative discovery conversations to assess prospect needs, motivations, financial complexity, urgency, and readiness
  • Apply the firm’s Advisor Ready Lead criteria with sound judgment and consistency
  • Maintain active engagement, thoughtful persistence, and forward momentum across viable opportunities

Opportunity Development & Nurture

  • Actively nurture qualified prospects over time through purposeful follow-up and education
  • Guide prospects toward clarity and commitment, helping them progress toward introduction to an Advisor and closing
  • Address questions, hesitations, and objections thoughtfully and professionally
  • Develop a deep understanding of HB’s value proposition to educate prospects on the value of HB Wealth’s differentiators

Advisor Introduction & Near-Close Partnership

  • Determine the appropriate moment to introduce an Advisor based on readiness, alignment, and closing probability
  • Deliver Advisor-Ready opportunities that are positioned very late-stage, near closing
  • Provide comprehensive handoffs including prospect context, motivations, dynamics, and recommended positioning
  • Partner with Advisors to ensure seamless transitions and productive first meetings

Pipeline Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage an active pipeline of inbound opportunities with clear prioritization and follow-through
  • Maintain disciplined CRM documentation capturing both quantitative and qualitative insights
  • Partner with BD leadership and Marketing to share insights on lead quality, objections, and conversion trends to continually improve our overall approach to Business Development and Marketing
  • Contribute feedback leading to ongoing refinement of qualification standards, messaging, and pipeline process

Requirements

  • Sales-minded with strong ownership mentality and comfort driving opportunities forward
  • AI-centric and automation-minded; stays on the cutting edge of AI-driven tools and process improvements to continually enhance our approach
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Word and Excel, as well as Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent interpersonal engagement, listening skills, and conversational judgment
  • Confidence leading discovery, nurture, and decision-oriented conversations
  • Clear, persuasive, and professional verbal and written communication
  • Commitment to meeting established deadlines and managing time effectively
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; Finance, Financial Planning or Business focus preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • CFP or Series 65 preferred
  • Experience with CRM preferred
