Responsibilities
Develop and implement data-driven solutions to enhance the Equities Institutional Sales (EIS) business, including dashboards, reports, and analytics.
Analyze complex data sets to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities that drive business decision‑making.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including sales, trading, and technology, to identify and address data‑related challenges.
Automate and streamline data processes to improve efficiency and data quality.
Own and deliver key reporting, including MIS, Finance Flash, SDAV insights, T+1 trading reports and trading trend analytics (Fidessa/BOS).
Manage Deals and CSA reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely insights.
Own and enhance key data platforms, including Tableau Customer 360, ANALEC CRM and DigiLIB FIXP.
Lead data ingestion initiatives (e.g., BOS → FIXP), ensuring strong data governance, integrity and quality control.
Champion digital and data initiatives, partnering with GFM Data Chapter to drive automation, data product enhancements and AI/ML use cases where relevant.
Provide data‑driven recommendations to support the EIS team in achieving their business objectives.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization.
Ensure all outputs are compliant, controlled, explainable and aligned with internal policies.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or related field.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a data analyst or related role, preferably within the financial services industry.
Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI).
Excellent problem‑solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey data‑driven recommendations to stakeholders.
Familiarity with financial markets, products, and industry terminology is preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
