The firm works closely with leadership teams across its portfolio to drive strategic initiatives, improve operations, and unlock long term value. This role sits directly within the firm and offers strong visibility, along with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple businesses.

The Role:
The Associate will join the Investment Team and support all aspects of the investment lifecycle, including sourcing, analysis, modeling, structuring, and portfolio management. This role works closely with senior investment and operations leaders in a small team environment, with hands on involvement across new platform investments, add on acquisitions, operational initiatives, divestitures, and financings.
While this description reflects an Associate level scope, we are open to considering candidates at different levels depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Build financial models and perform analysis to assess investment potential
- Conduct market research, industry analysis, and competitive benchmarking
- Leverage a STEM background to evaluate business models, particularly within technology driven companies
- Help lead technical initiatives at the firm level, including identifying and implementing new tools to enhance investment processes and portfolio performance
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals, intermediaries, and target companies
- Support due diligence efforts, including financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment
- Prepare investment memoranda and materials for the investment committee
- Assist with transaction structuring and negotiations
- Help manage third party advisors throughout the deal process
- Partner with portfolio company teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives
- Monitor financial and operational performance, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement
- Participate in board meetings and provide ongoing support to portfolio companies
- 2+ years in financial services, investment banking, restructuring, valuation, financial due diligence; additional operating/financial experience within a company can be a strong plus
- Educational background in a technical field such as computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related discipline
- Entrepreneurial, self-starter: likes to work in a small team with a ‘roll-up your sleeves’ attitude
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
- Extensive understanding of financial statements and ability to create financial models
- Strong written and verbal communications skill; ability to work in lean team environment
- Attention to detail and ownership of finished work product
- Strong interest in M&A, private equity, and investing
- Strong undergraduate record with a focus in business, economics or engineering (quant heavy)
