Role: Controls Engineer

Duration: 12 Months - Onsite
Summary: Our client is seeking Controls Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing, specializing in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and automated equipment. Responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing medical device assembly systems.
Key Skills:
- Allen-Bradley PLC (RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, Logix Designer)
- HMI/SCADA: FactoryTalk SE, Ignition
- Vision Systems: Cognex (preferred)
- Industrial Networks: Ethernet/IP, Profinet, DeviceNet
- Motion Control: Kinetix Servo Drives, PowerFlex VFDs
- PID Tuning, Closed-loop Control Systems
- Serial Communication: RS-232/422/485, Modbus, Profibus
- MES Integration, Embedded Systems
Responsibilities:
- Develop controls and SCADA specifications for automated assembly equipment
- Support FAT/SAT, validation, and commissioning
- Troubleshoot PLC, electrical, and automation systems
- Implement controls improvements to enhance safety, quality, and productivity
- Manage software/firmware changes and change control documentation
- Optimize HMI, SCADA, and MES interfaces
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years in manufacturing/industrial automation
- Experience in medical device industry (preferred)
