Automation Engineer – AccelQ + Java Spring Boot
Job Summary
We are looking for skilled Automation Engineers with strong experience in AccelQ and Java Spring Boot to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for enterprise applications and APIs. The role involves close collaboration with developers, business analysts, DevOps teams, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery through robust automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using AccelQ.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and backend services.
- Work closely with development teams working on Java Spring Boot applications.
- Perform API automation and validation testing using REST services.
- Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for resolution.
- Prepare and maintain automation test documentation and reports.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards, automation best practices, and coding guidelines.
- Support regression testing, smoke testing, and end-to-end automation activities.
- Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams for deployment validation and automation improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in test automation using AccelQ.
- Good experience in Java programming and Spring Boot applications.
- Experience in API testing and automation.
- Knowledge of RESTful services and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks and test design techniques.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Selenium, Postman, Rest Assured, or similar automation tools.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools is an advantage.
- Banking or enterprise application project experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in Automation Testing or Java technologies will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in Automation Testing and QA Engineering.
- Hands-on experience in enterprise application automation projects.
